Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park late in the day.
Buckingham Fountain is based on a similar fountain found at the Palace of Versailles near Paris, France.
It is part of Grant Park, built on landfiull jutting out into Lake Michigan away from the city of Chicago.
Every hour, the fountain puts on a display with water shooting 150 feet into the air. It is lit up at night.

This is a scanned Kodachrome slide from a sailing trip off the coast of Maui. Over the years, dust has settled into the delicate emulsion, so the image is not as clean as I'd like, but I think it still conveys the drama of this sunbeam.
